DIY Buckets of Blooms

Perfect for couples that are looking to arrange their own wedding flowers!

What’s Included

We provide buckets filled with fresh flowers and foliage picked straight from our fields. We have hundreds of flowers in blooms from late April – early October, and we grow a combination of familiar favorites (pink peonies!) and specialty flowers that you might not see every day.

Our DIY buckets of blooms are purely seasonal and are the best of what is in bloom at the time of your event. We are careful to select blooms that go well together so your arrangements will look beautiful! However, due to the variencies of nature, we are not able to accommodate requests for specific flowers.

Pricing and Details

  • Each bucket contains approximately 80 stems of mixed flowers and foliage.

  • We have a 2 bucket minimum and a 5 bucket maximum.

  • Each bucket is $100.00 plus tax.  

  • Flowers are ready for two days prior to your event to ensure they are as fresh as possible and to give you time to arrange your flowers.

  • We deliver to the greater Lansing, Michigan area ($15) Click here to view our service area.. Or you can pick-up from our farm. If you pick-up from the farm we recommend having flowers in your car for no more than 2 hours to ensure maximum freshness.

  • We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date, and the remainder of your balance is due 10 days before your order is ready.

DIY flowers are right for you if:

  • You will have time to design your own flowers in the two days prior to your event. If you’ve never worked with flowers before, if might take a little longer than you think!

  • If you have friends or family who are happy to help you! This can be a fun activity to do together after your rehersal dinner.

  • You can keep all flowers in water and in an air-conditioned space until right before your event.

  • If this sounds like something you would enjoy!

DIY flowers are not a good fit for you if:

  • You want a specific flower or flower color

  • You have more complex event designs

  • You require in-person consultation. Birchfield Blooms will share helpful tips on how to arrange your flowers, but is not able to provide extensive one-on-one design sessions.

How Many Flowers Do I Need?

  • Bridal bouquets: 75 stems

  • Attendant bouquets: 20-30 stems

  • Centerpieces: 10-25 stems (mason jar);  3-5 stems (bud vase)
